is there anyone ordering something this month?
I ordered DIY Neurotechnologist's Starter Kit on August 9, but until now I have not received news of the shipment.
I have contacted @openbci but there is still no answer.

newly available Python client using OpenBCI Hub (for Ganglion in windows)
Hi ,
To my understanding the Ganglion board doesn't have a supported Python SDK in Windows because the bluepy library doesn't support Windows.
I tried to use the SDK in a VM using VBOX but couldn't get it to work.
So I went and made a OpenBCIHub client in Python.
I put it in this repo:
OpenBCIHub PythonClient
I would prefer using a direct connection to the Bluetooth dongle , but it seems to be good enough.
Is there another way that I don't know of to interface with the board?
Cannot program RFduino on the Cyton board!
I connect each pin between FTID and pin of RFduino on the Cyton board:
DTR->0.1uF->RF Reset
TX-> RF RX
RX->RF TX
GND-> GND
But, when programming, it showed up:
RadioDevice32bit.ino.hex
RFduino device required RFduino hex file!!!!
I don’t know what happen although hex file available as compiler show up!
Please help me to solve that!

Washing OpenBCI sintered Cap
Hi,
I just bought an EEG sintered cap, which requiers gel to record brainwaves.
https://shop.openbci.com/products/openbci-eeg-electrocap This cap looks nice but there are few informations about it, it looks like no one is using it.
Anyway, it is mentionned that washing the cap could substantially increase its longevity. I was thus wondering how to wash it. Have some of you already used it ? How do you process to wash it ? The electrodes should be removed from the headset ?
I have read there gtec.at/Support-Offer/FAQ/Electrodes and there tsgdoc.socsci.ru.nl/images/0/01/Cleaningprocedure_EEG_June2017.pdf that electrodes the washing should be proceeded using distillated water, Sekusept plus®. It is also specified on the Gel recommended by OpenBCI https://shop.openbci.com/products/electrodegel?variant=28056992776264 to use Ivory® to remove it. But these sources are not specific to this cap and do not say the same thing (Use the brush, do not use the brush, use distilled water, use running water). I thus want to know how do you wash this cap ?
Thank you for your feedback

Impedance Check Not Working (Ganglion)
Hi all! I got a Ganglion board, the EEG headband kit, and some EMG electrodes (the Low-Cost Biosensing Starter Kit) recently. I went through the Ganglion tutorial a few weeks ago and just tried out the EEG headband. As I was troubleshooting that today, I tried to check the electrodes' impedance, but the "Check Impedance" widget didn't work. Every time I used it, it started successfully (or so it claimed), but it never produced output--it just ran until I stopped it. In some cases, this was upwards of 2-3 minutes. Now that I think about it, I don't remember it working when I first set up the Ganglion either. Does anybody have an idea as to what the problem might be? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Will there ever be support for 32 channels?
We utilize EEGs in research and we absolutely must collect 32 channels. Will there ever be support for 32 channels? The Mark IV/Cyton+Daisy only support a measly 16 channels.

External antenna to WiFi shield
Hi to all!
When I built ABS box for my Cyton plus WiFi shield boards, I encountered problem of very poor and unstable connection to my local WiFi network.
I believe it was due to interference of walls of my box, internal PCB antenna and active Cyton circuits beneath it.
In order to cope with it I cut corresponding PCB lines of ground and antenna and solder IPX U. FL connector like at the picture attached and connect standard WiFi 3db antenna.
Connection improved substantially.
Just to whom it may concern.

two cyton boards offset time
Hi! Our lab is planning to use LSL for data recording. If we use two cyton boards with their own usb dongle or wifi shield, the maximum time offset will be 8ms(since each of them has +/-4ms), is that correct? Is there any efficient way to measure the offset? And how can we synchronize the sample clock of the two boards? Thanks!
Cyton board doesn't connect with Dongle
Hi everyone,
I write here because I have had a problem with the Cyton Biosensing Board (8-channels) and I like you to help me solve a problem we have found.
I bougth the device in the second half of May and I configured the device by following all the steps in the
tutorial on the page (https://docs.openbci.com/Tutorials/01-Cyton_Getting Started_Guide)
and it worked correctly. However a few days later I tried to connect
it again and it didn't work anymore. The problem that arises is the
following; when I am trying to connect the “OpenBCI Board” and the
“Programmable OpenBCI Dongle” (both devices are programmed correctly
following the instructions in the tutorial, that is, the Cyton board
in PC mode and the Ganglion in GPIO_6 mode), the interface gives the
following message:
“Failed to connect to data source. Check that the device is powered on
and in range. Also, try pressing AUTOSCAN ”
Following the instructions suggested by the error message I tapped
AUTOSCAN and it shows the following incomplete message:
“Cyton dongle could not connect to the board. Perhaps they are on different ”
I would like to know which the error is and how it can be solved. I
Thank you very much in advance,
Cyton Kit is not communicating with Dongle
Hello,
I bought the cyton kit Two Years ago, It used to work fine then, after a while, I need to use it again and am finding it difficult to make dongle communicate with the Cyton Kit.
I followed all the steps in the tutorial on the page (https://docs.openbci.com/Tutorials/01-Cyton_Getting Started_Guide), but it's not working, sometimes it's connecting, but the connection is breaking up and then it's not communicating again for a while.
When I am trying to connect the kit to computer it's showing this status "Error connecting to serial port. Try a different port ?"
I tried changing all the ports and tried pressing get channel and auto scan to get similar results (when cyton Kit is on PC mode and Ganglion is in GPIO_6).
I also tried reinstalling the RTDI drivers, it's not working either.
Could you please tell me how can I solve this error ?
Do I need to buy a new kit and Ganglion module ?
Will it work or will it give me same error ?
Thank you very much in advance for answering all my queries,
problems with wifi connection.
Looking for an optimal way to start with OpenBCI
Hello OpenBCI Community,
My name is Alex and I am curious about Brain-Computer interfacing.
My background is Software and during my professional career have executed a bunch of projects where large software chunks interfacing with custom hardware, but BCI in general and OpenBCI in particular is a brand new for me.
Currently my goal is to execute a learning/research project to get feeling about OpenBCI. I thought about controlling a servo or authenticating a person - but open to hear other options as well.
I believe the fastest path to accomplish is to build an existing project executed by somebody else and play with it to learn.
What do you think about this approach?
My question is can you recommend me a project for a reference ? I saw something like this:
https://openbci.com/community/emg-controlled-battle-bots-instructables-for-students/
Did anybody else tried to build it from the provided instructions ?
You valuable feedback is highly appreciated.
Thanks and good luck :-)

BrainBay, install, neurofeedback tutorial
Chris, the primary developer for <a href="http://www.shifz.org/brainbay/" title="BrainBay">BrainBay</a>, has just created an OpenBCI-specific driver. Now you can use OpenBCI with BrainBay without any fakery or trickery...just plug it in and go! All 8 channels at full 24-bit resolution...yay!
You can see some example data at: http://eeghacker.blogspot.com/2014/01/openbci-driver-in-brainbay.html
I think that the OpenBCI driver is part of BrainBay V1.9.
Thanks, Chris!
